Coolvetica

by Ray Larabie · Website

Coolvetica is Ray Larabie's take on the tight, heavy lettering style that defined 1970s advertising and album covers, borrowing the bones of Helvetica but loosening things up with snugger spacing and a warmer personality. The bold, condensed letterforms feel familiar but less clinical than their Swiss ancestor, giving headlines and logos a punchy, confident presence. It reads as modern and neutral enough for serious work, but carries just enough retro DNA to feel distinctive.
