Din 1451
by Peter Wiegel · Website
Din 1451 is Peter Wiegel's digital interpretation of the classic DIN 1451 standard, the typeface originally developed for German road signs, license plates, and industrial labeling. The letterforms are purely functional, built from simple geometric shapes with uniform stroke widths and zero ornamentation. That no-nonsense clarity makes it a staple for signage, technical documents, wayfinding systems, and modern branding where neutrality and legibility are the whole point.
