Fray Gabriel is a thin, informal handwritten face with a naive, slightly unsteady quality that feels genuinely personal rather than designed. The font is named after its creator, Fray Gabriel Chávez de la Mora, a Benedictine monk and architect known for his work in Mexican liturgical art.
