KZ Bladerunner

by Kazuyoshi Ishikawa · Website

KZ Bladerunner is a stylized display face by Kazuyoshi Ishikawa that filters Latin letterforms through the visual language of CJK calligraphy, with narrow proportions and angular strokes that echo both East Asian brush writing and sci-fi aesthetics. The decorative, deliberately "orientalized" construction gives it a very specific look, clearly built for headlines, posters, and genre work rather than anything requiring real legibility at small sizes. It leans heavily into the cyberpunk-meets-neon-Tokyo atmosphere its name suggests.
