La Presse is a bold, condensed uppercase face from imagex with a heavy ink-on-newsprint distress that makes every letter look like it was pulled from a worn letterpress proof. The grungy texture and tight proportions give it the feel of old newspaper mastheads or protest posters, raw and physical in a way that clean digital type can't replicate. Best kept to headlines and poster work where that battered weight can do its thing.
