Maeshowe

by Ferag · Website

Maeshowe is a runic decorative font by Férag, named after the Neolithic chambered cairn in Orkney whose walls bear one of the largest collections of Norse runic inscriptions ever found. The letterforms draw directly from that carved, angular tradition, making it useful for Viking-themed projects, fantasy games, historical illustration, or anywhere you need text that feels ancient and deliberately cryptic. As a symbol-based face rooted in actual runic forms, it's decorative by nature and best used for short display text, titles, or atmospheric design elements.
