Missal Unciale is an ornamental uncial face from Manfred Klein, with letterforms set inside decorative boxes that recall the illuminated initials of medieval religious manuscripts. The gothic, hand-lettered quality and heavy ornamentation make it strictly a display font, best used for drop caps, chapter headings, or anywhere that calls for the solemn beauty of old ecclesiastical typography. Each character carries enough detail that it needs room to breathe at large sizes.
