Popeye Type is a high-contrast uppercase display face by Héctor Gaitán with sharp art deco geometry and dramatically thin strokes that give it a refined, period-specific elegance. The letterforms feel like they belong on a 1930s theater marquee or luxury product label, all vertical emphasis and deliberate glamour. Best reserved for headlines and decorative use at large sizes, where the delicate contrast between thick and thin can do its work.
