Rififi Serif is a bitmap serif from Damien Gosset that brings an unusual combination: classical serif structure rendered in chunky, grid-locked pixels. The blocky letterforms have a monospaced rhythm and a distinctly retro-digital character, like typesetting from an early desktop publishing system that refused to give up on tradition. Works best for headlines and display use where the pixel grid is visible and the contrast between old-school serif elegance and low-res rendering can do its thing.
