Tracking is an ultra-condensed geometric display face by Vladimir Nikolic, with razor-thin uppercase letterforms squeezed into impossibly narrow proportions. The extreme vertical emphasis and minimalist construction give it a stark, architectural quality, almost like text rendered as barcode lines. It demands large sizes to stay legible, but used right it brings striking visual tension to headlines, posters, and editorial layouts where negative space does most of the talking.
