Wiegel Kurrent is a faithful revival of the traditional German Kurrent script, the everyday cursive handwriting used across German-speaking Europe for centuries before it fell out of common use in the mid-20th century. Peter Wiegel rendered it with thin, delicate strokes and ornate letterforms that capture the angular flow of the original style, where each character connects in a distinctly different way than Latin cursive. Best reserved for display use, invitations, certificates, or historical projects where authenticity matters, since the unfamiliar letter shapes can be challenging for modern readers.
