3 by 5 is a bitmap pixel font where every character is crammed into a 3-pixel-wide by 5-pixel-tall grid. The constraint is extreme enough that complex glyphs become abstract puzzles, but letters, numbers, and basic punctuation hold together surprisingly well. It carries that unmistakable early-computing aesthetic of tiny LCD readouts and handheld game screens.
