ACSF Expressive

by P. Baudin · Website

ACSF Expressive is a cross-stitch font that renders cursive script as rows of embroidered X-marked squares on a grid, mimicking needlework charts published before 1930. OpenType ligatures link letters into a continuous flowing line, so the result reads like a hand-stitched sampler rather than digital type. There are two versions: one with the background grid visible, one without.
