Almaira is a handlettered formal script drawn with the expressive energy of pen-and-ink calligraphy. Hairline upstrokes and bold downstrokes create strong contrast, while long looping ascenders and descenders intertwine to give words a theatrical, romantic quality. It carries the spontaneity of a personal hand while leaning into the drama of classic copperplate tradition.
