Barges is a heavy display serif with extreme stroke contrast and ornamental ball terminals that curl into decorative spirals. It draws from Victorian and Didone traditions but pushes the weight well past conventional limits, giving it a theatrical, fashion-editorial energy. Best used large, where the contrast between hairline and stem really hits.
