CarbonType is a slab-serif typewriter face from Vic Fieger with heavily worn, ink-smudged letterforms that capture the look of a ribbon running dry on cheap paper. The distressed edges and uneven ink density feel authentic rather than stylized, giving it the gritty charm of mid-century office correspondence or beat-era manuscripts. Best for headlines and short text blocks where that battered, vintage texture can do its thing.
