Dirty Ames

Dirty Ames is a heavily distressed revival of an 1884 ornamental initial typeface by D.T. Ames, reinterpreted with gritty ink-spread texture and aged letterpress character. Each letter is encased in dense Victorian floral ornament and rendered with inline serifs and extreme contrast. It brings the grandeur of 19th-century decorative printing to contemporary design work.
