East City is a heavy distressed serif with deep cross-hatched texture that makes every character look like it was inked with a worn brush or carved into a rough surface. The underlying forms are chunky and bold, but the aggressive surface noise gives it a raw, underground energy. Strong at large sizes for posters, album covers, and anything that needs to feel a little beat up.
