Eastman Alternate

Eastman Alternate is a heavy italic geometric sans built by Francesco Canovaro and Andrea Tartarelli for Zetafonts in 2020. It draws from Bauhaus ideals and 19th-century grotesques, combining a tall x-height and circular monolinear strokes with alternate character shapes designed to stand out in editorial and branding contexts. The result is a workhorse grotesque with just enough distinctiveness to anchor a wordmark.
