Fifth Avenue is a heavy, wide display sans where letters are sliced into horizontal fragments, as if cut by venetian blinds or a blade. The effect is bold and confrontational, somewhere between constructivist typography and street-culture graphics. It works best large, where the fragmentation reads as design rather than damage.
