Gothical is a heavy blackletter face from Pi Luo Chiu that takes traditional Fraktur letterforms and roughens them up with visible distressing and gritty texture. The result feels less like a medieval manuscript and more like something wheat-pasted to a wall in the rain, with bold strokes that still carry the dark elegance of gothic calligraphy underneath all that wear. Best kept to headlines, logos, and display use where the combination of old-world structure and modern grime can do its thing.
