Greifswaler Deutsche Schrift
by Peter Wiegel · Website
Greifswaler Deutsche Schrift is a Fraktur blackletter by Peter Wiegel with an italic lean and richly calligraphic strokes that give it a more fluid, handwritten quality than many rigid German blackletter revivals. The ornate letterforms carry the weight of medieval manuscript tradition while remaining surprisingly readable for the genre. Best reserved for headlines, certificates, and historically themed design work where traditional German typography needs to feel authentic rather than decorative.
