Halbstarke Pica is a distressed typewriter face by Charly Masci with noticeably worn, uneven letterforms that look like they've been hammered through a well-used ribbon onto cheap paper. The irregular ink coverage and battered serifs give it genuine vintage character, not the sanitized kind. Best at headline sizes where the texture and imperfections can do the talking, whether that's for editorial layouts, film titles, or anything that needs to feel typed rather than typeset.
