Japanese Emperor is a bold display font that reimagines Latin characters through the visual language of Japanese brushwork and CJK typography. Deep angular notches, flat cutouts, and curved counters give each letter an unmistakably East Asian silhouette while remaining fully Latin in structure. The result sits squarely in the 1970s tradition of groovy, orientalist poster lettering.
