Jugend is an ornamental initials font from The Scriptorium, drawing on the dense floral and foliate decoration found in medieval illuminated manuscripts and Jugendstil-era design. Each letter is heavily ornamented with intertwining botanical motifs, built specifically for use as drop caps, chapter openings, or decorative headers where a single character needs to carry serious visual richness. At small sizes the detail collapses, so it belongs strictly in large-format, limited-use contexts.
