Kanzlei Initialen is an ornamental initials font by Dieter Steffmann, one of the most dedicated digitizers of historical European letterforms. Each character draws from the elaborate blackletter capitals found in medieval German chancery documents, with dense flourishes and intricate decorative frameworks surrounding each letter. Strictly a drop-cap and display face, built for chapter openings, certificates, and historical design work where the detail can breathe at large sizes.
