Kimura is a heavy oblique display sans built around a strong tension between flat horizontal strokes and sharp vertical cuts. The extreme slant and wide proportions give it a sense of forward momentum, making it feel at once retro-futuristic and boldly mechanical. It works best large, where the contrast between its thick and thin axes reads clearly as a logo or headline.
