PlymouthPress
by James Brocklehurst · Website
PlymouthPress is a letterpress display font built from actual printed specimens produced in the University of Plymouth's historic press workshop. Instead of vector outlines, each glyph is a bitmap image capturing real ink texture, paper grain, and physical imperfections that no digital distress filter can convincingly fake. An OpenType alternates system automatically cycles through multiple versions of each character as you type, so repeated letters never look identical.
