Portcullion
by Paul Lloyd · Website
Portcullion is a heavy blackletter face by Paul Lloyd with dense, ornate letterforms rooted in the Textura tradition of medieval manuscript writing. The strokes are tightly packed and richly detailed, carrying the kind of gothic weight you'd expect on a cathedral inscription or an old brewery label. Strictly a display face, best reserved for headlines, logos, and decorative uses where its dark, commanding presence can do the talking.
