Vanguard is a Victorian-inspired display serif loaded with ornamental detail: inline decoration through the stems, elaborate flourishes at the joints, and extreme stroke contrast between hairline thins and heavy verticals. The design draws directly from 19th-century wood-type and circus broadside lettering traditions. It commands attention at large sizes and brings historical weight to posters, packaging, and bold editorial headlines.
