Zdyk Aries is a heavy western display serif with dramatic stroke contrast and angular slab details drawn from the wood-type poster tradition. Cutout notches embedded in the thick stems add an unexpected structural detail that keeps the design from feeling like a straight revival. It works best large, where the contrast and quirks read clearly.
