Bayreuth
by Ernst Schneidler
Bayreuth is a bold blackletter typeface designed by Ernst Schneidler, one of the most respected German type designers of the early 20th century. Its heavy, ornate letterforms follow the textura tradition closely, with dense vertical strokes and angular construction that recall medieval German manuscripts and early printed books. Best reserved for headlines, certificates, or historically grounded design work where its weight and formality can come through at large sizes.
