IM Fell Types

by Igino Marini

IM Fell Types is a digital revival by Igino Marini of the typefaces cut by 17th- and 18th-century punchcutters whose work was collected by Bishop John Fell at Oxford University Press. The letterforms carry the warmth and irregularity of early printing, with slightly rough edges and organic contrast that feel genuinely historical rather than nostalgic. Available in both roman and italic, it works beautifully for book text, literary publications, and editorial projects where you want the texture of real metal type on the page.
