Saraband

Saraband is an ornate blackletter face by Paul Lloyd that draws heavily from the dense, vertical rhythm of medieval Textura scripts, but pushes the decoration further with elaborate flourishes and intricate detailing. The letterforms are dark and richly embellished, carrying the weight of illuminated manuscripts and gothic cathedral aesthetics. Strictly a headline and display face, best reserved for large sizes where all that elaborate craftsmanship can actually register.
