Type Machine is a modern proportional slab-serif that borrows the aesthetic vocabulary of typewriter type without the constraints of fixed-width spacing. Designer Levi Szekeres treated it as a contemporary reinterpretation rather than a retro revival, which gives it a cleaner, more versatile rhythm than most typewriter-inspired fonts. The result sits comfortably between editorial slab and vintage mechanical, without committing fully to either.
