Rhyme Chronicle 1494

by Rane Knudsen

Rhyme Chronicle 1494 is a heavy blackletter face by Rane Knudsen that draws directly from the dense, angular textura scripts of late 15th-century printing. The letterforms are dark and tightly packed, with the characteristic diamond-shaped feet and compressed vertical strokes that defined early German and Dutch typesetting. It's a display face through and through, best used for headlines, titles, and historical design work where you want the weight and gravity of medieval print on the page.
